The highlight of the Supply Chain calendar, IoSCM’s annual awards continue to have a huge reach and raise the profile of the industry. DLC Training was delighted to have an opportunity to continue our sponsorship of the Contribution to Education Award, highlighting the amazing people and organisations who educate and inform, embracing the ethos of professional development.

“We’re overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of those supply chain professionals wanting to promote the education of others through sharing of expertise, experience and knowledge. Having a positive impact on those around you, influencing their careers and promoting the importance of education in our industry” IoSCM

Historically this category always receives a high number of nominations, and the Judging Panel often have a difficult time agreeing who should be bestowed with the Award.  This year the delighted winner is Tim Young, Regional Procurement Manager at Lovell, a Morgan Sindall Group Company.

In his role Tim has sought specific opportunities to educate, in particular providing work placements to young people interested in a career within procurement, along with creating resources to support people with autism, educating employers to how best support their neuro-divergent colleagues. This useful slide show presentation is available via DLC Training resources here.

“I was thrilled just to be invited to the awards, even more surprised to be nominated. That’s where my expectations ended as already exceeding what I thought would happen this year. To win was a shock, but to win for the reasons I did, were extremely rewarding. Not for me, but representing anyone else with Autism who is doing their best to succeed in a career. As always the IOSCM event was amazing and to a person, everyone was brilliant.” – Tim Young

Congratulations Tim, we look forward to seeing your continued growth and development in the field of education.
